Welltower Inc. has acquired a luxury senior living portfolio totaling 335 units in San Antonio, Texas. South Bay Partners was the seller and developer of the 230-unit Watercrest at Dominion and the neighboring 105-unit Isle at Watercrest Dominion. The two properties have been rebranded together as Discovery Village at Dominion. Discovery Senior Living will manage the combined community, which marks the fifth Discovery Village-branded property in Texas.

South Bay Partners, Inc., through its joint venture with LAMB Properties, LLC, has closed on the purchase of approximately 7.9 acres and will break ground in February 2019 on Sage at Mattison Estate, a four-story Class A luxury rental senior living community. Sage at Mattison Estate will be “next stage senior living” with a focus on holistic aging. The community will comprise 156 independent living units, 62 assisted living units and 32 memory care units with secure, structured parking.

South Bay Partners, a national developer of senior housing communities, has announced plans to construct a new project near Century City. The Bellwood, which would rise from a property at 10330 Bellwood Avenue, would provide independent living, assisted living, and memory care living for more than 200 seniors. The proposed development would come with on-site services, including a wellness center with space for yoga, meditation and swimming. Shuttles would be provided for residents to access grocery stores, shopping outings, doctors appointments, and cultural activities.

Developer South Bay Partners has announced plans for a senior living community near Century City. Plans filed with the city Dec. 6 call for 192 units. Of the units, 71 will be independent living, 75 will be assisted living and 46 will be memory care living.

Construction underway on new senior living home in Lincolnwood

Construction has begun on a senior living home in Lincolnwood that will provide care for varying needs, including a special unit for dementia patients. Plans for the facility, previously approved by the village board, show 380 units ranging from studios to two bedrooms, along with an in-house station for emergency medical technicians. The center, which has been described by its developers as "upscale," will serve assisted living needs and memory care patients with medical care.
